Product Overview:

AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer adopts several high and new technologies such as wideband track pre-selection, wideband low-noise millimeter-wave amplification, multi-functional integrated miniature design, high-speed sweep measurement, embedded PC hardware platform, Windows 2000 software platform, and Chinese interface, which is easy of realizing high-precision measurement of noise figure and gain in linear or quasi-linear network of microwave and millimeter-wave at 10 MHz ~ 40 GHz. It is widely used in the measurement of noise figure and gain of microwave and millimeter-wave amplifier, mixer, attenuator, etc. components and devices and front end linear circuit part of receiver. In comparison with the foreign testing program for noise figure at wave band of 8mm achieved through spread spectrum, AV 3985 has been improved substantially in respect of frequency precision, noise figure precision and gain testing range, etc., representing the highest level of technology for testing noise figure at wave band of 8mm both at home and abroad.

AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer is provided with a 17cm true color LCD display on which the noise figure and gain variation with frequency are displayed, which improves the user’s comfort and distinctness. Moreover, it is also available in multiple display effects: three display formats, two independent channels, multiple combined curve graphics and up to six measurement results, etc.

οVariable measurement bandwidth

4MHz bandwidth is still applicable in noise testing system for many modern applications. However, the rapid development of wireless communication and increasing congestion of RF spectrum
gradually present demand for narrowband noise figure measurement. AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer has variable measurement bandwidths and can realize actual measurement at bandwidth of different resolutions, i.e. 4MHz, 2MHz, 1MHz, 400kHz, 200kHz and 100kHz, which is critical for improving narrowband measurement precision.

ο Perfect loss compensation

Loss compensation function can compensate the loss in channels before and after DUT in the form of fixing, table and combination, which greatly facilitates testing on the microwave and millimeter-wave tube core requiring deembedding.

ο Abundant peripheral interfaces

Multiple peripheral interfaces, such as GP-IB, RS232, LAN, USB, VGA and universal computer keyboard and intelligent mouse interface, greatly facilitate re-setup of various applications and systems.

ο Dual noise source drive capability

Intelligent multi-core noise source drive interface is compatible with Agilent N4002 series intelligent noise source. The main unit can automatically identify connection of intelligent noise source and download ENR data; meanwhile it also can detect the change of operating temperature at real time for temperature correction of noise figure, thus improving the speed and accuracy of measurement.

Common noise source +28V pulse drive interface is compatible with the common noise sources from many manufacturers.
